The image is linked to the blue propaganda poster in my last post I doing a few adjustments and copied out several of the planes having to re-position them and and re-size the image. Then add text onto the image to turn the plan image into a propaganda poster.
(Edit)
CHANGES TO THE FINAL IMAGE.
The image I had created was too much like a piece related to the artist's so it was change to make something more...Alex. Something that suited my specialty and style of art. I took reference back onto a sketch I had drawn out in my sketch book.
The image explained more then the previous image yet it was just a sketch and it felt more...me. The image is simple the father shouting for members of the public to take shelter in the air raid shelter behind him. Cradled in his hand, the tin toys he made for his daughter. This brings to life the memory of Mary's father.
So to begin the original sketch was out of proportion in terms of form and shape. It was obviously seen in the face too. So I completely re-drawn the image, giving it much more detail till I was happier with the proportions of the character figure. Only one thing remained that pried at me for a while till I had come to the conclusion. The tin toys, they were hardly noticeable to the public unless you pointed it out to viewer of the image itself.
That's where I did more adjustments to the image making the objects a lot bigger so that it stood out more to the viewer while the image kept its position. I think the image is a lot better this way as the message is sent across a lot better this round although I plan to finish both of them for variety and choice.
I uploaded the images to Photoshop to apply colour and adjust the levels of the drawing itself. With results I had managed to stick to my originally planned design and keeping it in different shades of blue with white applied to the image also. After a few hours or poking and adjusting I managed to create these two.
These are the final finished pieces for the project both have their positive and negative aspects to them. For example the image above doesn't explain the message quite well. But it has quite a nice effect with the pencil line causing a sketch effect. Whilst the second image provides the opposite effect to the viewer. I felt a lot more comfortable creating this image since it was more my style and stayed in my comfort zone.
